2014 Early Bills Mock

The Bills season is over already.. shocking, right? I am too, especially since Jeff Tuel and Thad Lewis got QB starts.

I figured I'd pass some time watching the Cotton Bowl by doing a quick/early mock draft. As usual with my rules; I'm using cbssportsline.com and cannot draft anybody before their pick. For instance, the Bills 1st pick is #9 and even though I think Khalil Mack will be available CBS has him at #6.. so I can't draft him.

#9: CJ Mosley. Played in a 3-4, but incredibly high IQ. Decent size, can defend run/pass. Only real question is his health. The Bills run D was one of the worst in the NFL and a tackling machine with great instincts can only help.

#41: Antonio Richardson. OT. Probably be gone by this point as mocks have him in round 1 despite his late 40s ranking by CBS. You can't ever have enough OL and protecting Manuel and getting Spiller/Jackson going seems like a wise choice to me.

#73: Jared Abbrederis. Duh. Do I have to explain. I'm a Badgers lover. He's a Badgers player. He's smart, he hustles, he catches. He's ALWAYS open. He caught 78 passes as the only threat on the entire team in the passing game.. FOR THE BADGERS.  What's not to like?

#105: Terrence Brooks. S. No clue what's going on at S. Byrd and Leonhard could be there.. could be gone. Brooks is a bit short and has some trouble tackling, but he's physical and can really close on the ball. Fun player to watch. (I really wanted to take Tajh Boyd here)

#137: Jaylen Watkins. CB. It's the new NFL. You need to have guys that can run/cover the pass and play that hybrid CB/S position. Watkins did for one of the better defenses in college football

#169: Denicos Allen. Smallish OLB who was insanely productive behind the LOS in the Big 10. He might get engulfed at times, but he seems to be a step ahead of blockers often and attacks downhill as a very good tackler. A steal at this spot; he'll fall because of his size.

#201 Connor Shaw. Mainly based on what he did to the Badgers and if EJ isn't going to be healthy then I don't want Thad Lewis or Jeff Tuel to have to make throws/decisions. Shaw can play.

I'll try to do this about once a month until the draft; we'll see how it changes with rankings as the process goes.

Breakdown:
4 defenders; 2 in front 7 and 2 in back 4. Speed/tackling available.
3 offensive players. 1 OL, 1 QB, and 1 slot WR.

1985 Dunk Contest

NBA TV is awesome. Have I mentioned that before? DVR'd some of the dunk contests they were showing for old times sake.. this particular one was from 1985 when I was 2 years old.. but I remember it like it was yesterday.

First thing you need to notice is the names in the list:
Wilkins, Drexler, Jordan, Griffith, Woolridge, Nance, Dr. J and some Stansbury (only one I haven't heard of)

Compare that to the 4 guys from last year: Jeremy Evans (huh), Chase Budinger, Derrick Williams and Paul George. Why only 4 guys anyway? And only George is considered a rising star.

2010 had some studs too: Nate Robinson, Gerald Wallace, Demar Derozan, and Shannon Brown. Sweet.

I guess we're gonna skip some dunks: Nique went baseline and hammered down a reverse double pump. Man, he dunks with authority. His 3rd dunk was just smoked.

Clyde: 1-handed reverse. Didn't look too enthusiastic about it either.

Jordan: haha, He's wearing his warm-up pants, a t-shirt and some chinsy jersey. That's good stuff. MJ just out there hanging out right now. Doesn't even look like he's trying.

Darrell Griffith: Utah Jazz old man look going, Malone and Stockton would be excited. His 2nd dunk was nice and only got 42. Dunno about that.

BTW: Stansbury filled in for.. CHARLES BARKLEY?! Barkley was supposed to be in a dunk contest?!

How about this dunk-off between MJ and Stansbury? A SUDDEN DUNK OFF! BTW: Hot Rod Hundley is announcing this dunk-off. This is sick.

MJ wrap around one-hander only gets a 40. Stansbury's dunk way better.. higher score but they send MJ on anyway; I'm serious. Where my NBA conspiracy theorists at? Stern wanted MJ to move on I bet.

Dr. J didn't break a sweat and just smashed down 2 basketballs.Terrence Stansbury is putting on a show; this cat could hang.

OH NO HE DIDN'T! MJ just put some TAPE on the foul line to show where he's jumping from (you know, in case the FOUL LINE isn't a good enough indicator)

Nique wasn't super creative.. but man did he get into the air and just hammer the ball with authority. That's what is missed the most on all the show now. Power and clean sending the ball through the tin and in 1985.. that's what gets you the title, I guess.

Bucks/Nuggets

Summer league has started and I've never been so glad to be dog-sitting at my in-laws place. The dogs are on the floor, I'm on the couch with a bowl of ice cream and NBA TV is on.

Thoughts:

-I wish I knew numbers of these guys. I know Henson, Ayon, and Smith to start.. no clue who 20 (I guess Dominic Jones) and 23 are.

-Ish Smith can dunk? Didn't know that.

-Dominic Jones knows what he's doing out there.. crafty.

-Nate Wolters is in but has barely touched the ball because Jones and Demetrius Nichols like to bounce it.

-I know it was Stacy Augmon.. but can Johnny Tarheel be the new Plastic Man

-The block/charge call just got messed up again.

-Wolters looks smooth, good vision, good zip on his passes. Henson playing big through the 1st with the Bucks up 5.

-Brian Shaw is cool.. but I'd prefer full screen for the game.. if I wanted to watch Brian Shaw, I'd follow a presser. Let me see Nate Wolters work.

-Henson is the best player on the floor.

-Dominique Jones (guess I wasn't spelling it correctly earlier) looks like Steve Logan.. who looks like DMX. So.. if A=B and B=C then A=C if you see what I'm getting at.

-Bruiser getting camera time sitting next to Larry Sanders.. so he's got that going for him.

-Plastic Man just blocked 2 shots in a row, then got a rebound on both ends... he does need to get stronger around the tin though on offense.

-Would like to see more time for Wolters.. we can see what Smith/Jones can do and have plenty on them from NBA practice/season.

-Henson is insane around the tin.. just so long and active. He and Larry can play together... right?! 15 minutes just to see how many shots get blocked.

-John Shurna is in right now.. He's sweet but he just missed a 3; he'll hit his next one.

-Ha, next possession Shurna banged one home. Called it.

-Nate Wolters is a REALLY good passer, but I'd like to see him attack the hedge on the pick n roll a bit more. Coulda split a few times but hesitated coming around.

-John Shurna can shoot. He's tough.

-Whoever #45 is for the Bucks he couldn't jump over the Medford phone book.

-How does Shurna not get 15 shots blocked a game? He releases it so low.

Most of these guys won't make NBA rosters (off the Bucks) but man they are shooting the ball well. 88 points in summer league is pretty sick. Wolters certainly has staying power IMO on the roster, I'd keep Jones and put him in the D-League if he isnt going to get much time this year though.

I know it's late.. NBA Draft Diary 2013 Edition

So here's the deal.. I know the draft was weeks ago and some summer league scrubs have taken the floor.. guess what, I don't care. I don't have cable and I don't have time.. but I did scrape some up as I sit over at my in-laws dog sitting. True story. My NBA Draft Diary:

--Draft hasn't started yet but my DVR has.. Is that Magic Johnson doing an intro? Only guy worse on TV for the NBA is Jalen Rose. This is gonna be good.

--Stern booed and like a true WWE heel, pretends they were cheers. Has anybody ever seen David Stern and Vinny McMahon at the same time, in the same room?

--Stern mentions the Miami Heat and the crowd boos.. he helped create that team. I'm calling them the nWo from now. Is LeBron Hogan? Bosh would be that latino guy that yells ARRIBA LA RAZA... and Wade has to be Scott Hall.. except the fact that I love Scott Hall.

--Jalen tosses in he's played in the league 13 years. Don't worry, Jalen.. we know who you are.

--Jay Bilas just told me Nerlens Noel weighs 216lbs. Does Jay have a numbers fetish? Why don't I know his wingspan yet?

--The 1st pick hasn't happened yet.. and I'm seriously bored right now. I don't like Bill Simmons voice, Jalen Rose is a joke, and Jay Bilas only knows economics.

--What's with the David Stern baby raise the roof before the 1st pick? Who does he think he is? He reminds me of the Brian Regan skit when the dude on the cell phone barely raises his finger (might not even have this point on here but Brian Regan is sweet anyway).. If you want the crowd to make noise David.. RAISE THE ROOF.

--Jalen Rose, "everybody wants to be the #1 pick." That's why Jalen is here tonight.. it took him 13 years to figure that out!

--Jay Bilas just said wingspan and tip one back regarding Anthony Bennett. #YesSir

--David Stern remains a Vince McMahon and we're 3 picks in. This guy can't go away fast enough.

--Jalen Rose is certainly a Ben Stein clone.. btw.. our 3rd pick in this draft Rose just compared to Bruce Bowen. Shane Battier also hit a "That's great" awkward moment in his interview. He stinks.

--Ariza, Seraphin, Price on the Wizards bench.. I might be able to get run there.

--YES! Jalen Rose JUST said that his mom won a championship.. in women's basketball. I'm not joking.

--Still trying to figure out if Cody Zeller is such a freak and a great athlete and 60% shooter.. then why did Jared Berggren eat him alive?

--Rece Davis just said that Nerlens Noel could be re-united with Anthony Davis at Kentucky. Ummm... does Rece Davis know that they both left after their freshman year so they weren't at Kentucky together? Come on, bro.

--Alex Len just said he wanted to play against KG and Duncan.. Battier asked the ? and isn't happy he doesn't want to play against him. For real.

--Jay Bilas told me 216lbs isn't pushing around an Eastern Conference C.. How many Cs is he not pushing around? Who is pushing around who in the East? He's pushing Bosh around for sure.

--John Calipari just sold 17 used cars in the lottery room.

--8 picks in.. and I like Shane Battier less than I did 8 picks ago. Didn't think that was possible.

--Jalen Rose is a horrible dude on TV. Don't know if I mentioned that yet. I'm 9 picks in so I might have.

--Jalen Rose likes Trey Burke.. I'm shocked that he liked a guy that played at Michigan. I bet he likes Big McGary too.

--And at the 10th pick.. my favorite player for the Bucks off the draft. CJ McCollum.

--ESPN cut to Chris Broussard to report on Trey Burke news that was already discussed on set by guys that didn't have the "inside story." Nice job, Chris.

--Jay Bilas and Jalen Rose just told me how great of a defender MCW is.. great, he plays zone.

--Now Jay Bilas just told me MCW went to a camp and they told him he was mid-major.. then 10 seconds later he said he was told he was a DIII player. Make up your mind!

--Shane still fishing for a compliment just asked MCW who he wanted to play against.. He didn't answer with "Shane Battier."

--Jalen Rose just said that Kendrick Perkins has slown down a little bit.. in other words, he's gone from slo-mo to Ace Ventura super slow-mo

--Blending Bucks off-season and the draft together.. I'd still take Bill Simmons as Bucks GM. For realz.

--Chris Broussard just said the Mavs would trade the pick.. or take a foreign player and keep him overseas. Guess who they took? Kelly Olynyk.. which they traded for Shane Larkin.

--They are crushing the Bucks during the draft now.. well guess what.. GREEK FREAK. BACK OFF.

--BTW: The Greek Freak is a pick the Bucks have to make at 15. They need to knock a kid out of the park.. what are your choices right now? You are Milwaukee and need a franchise pick.. you can get a senior that can be a great rotation guy or a potential superstar.. you take the Greek Freak. LOVE IT

--All sorts of Canadian jokes by the ESPN Draft guys.. funny considering they haven't been to a Marquette camp lately.

--2 hours in and a German just got picked.. almost skipped it on purpose because Fran and some other clown are on. I didn't though. Dennis Schroeder was a potential Buck.. I woulda taken it.

--Bill Simmons just asked if David Kahn was hired as a consultant by the Hawks because they took the German PG and Shane Larkin. I laughed.

--A Russian just got picked. Not sure how this affect US/Russia relations but I think Putin and Obama don't like each other. For realz.

--Shabazz Muahammad just got picked and looks like he hates David Stern.

--Tony Snell is only 6'7 and has a wingspan of a 6'11 guy. Thanks Jay. He can also shoot. Actually, I woulda loved him as a Buck.

--David Stern just did another annoying hand motion for the crowd to "boo" him.. does he think he's cool at this point? Seriously.. I'd drop an elbow from the top rope if I were there right now.

--Jalen Rose just said that David Stern is the best commish in any sport in his life. haha.. what a homer. He's played at Michigan and "LOVED" every Michigan pick and played in the league and shockingly he thinks that he's the man. Come on, Jalen.

--2 minutes between picks now? No wonder the 2nd round is only an hour on the DVR compared to like the other 3 hours of the 1st round.

--Just stopped watching the draft to make this insane smoothie with spinach, coconut chocolate yogurt, coconut milk, blueberries, a peach and banana. I think this smoothie will do more for me than Glen Rice Jr. does for the 76ers. Time will tell.

--Grant Jerrett looks like a turtle. If he were one of the 4 teenage mutant ninja turtles I'd say he's Raphael. He's just kinda there with no special skills.

--Jalen Rose just said, "I woulda moved him (Lamarcus Aldridge) tonight too." Then Bill Simmons made a comment to Jalen Rose who then said, "They can wait, the Blazers don't have to move him tonight." Come on man.

--After CJ McCollum that dude Jamaal Franklin was my next hopeful Bucks player. They didn't get him, but the Grizzlies will end up with him. Rose thinks he'll stay around the league because he can "score the basketball" Does he know anything about Franklin? He's a rebounder/defender.

--Ricky Ledo just got picked based off HS games and Providence practices. So.. basically we have a pick made off practice and youtube videos. Yi totally would fit in this draft.

--I just missed a whole bunch of picks because I was stuck in FF on the TV remote.. guess what at this point, I don't care.

--Fran just told me that Raul Neto is called Raul Zeno or something like that by his friends and that is his nickname.. I seriously can't wait to get this dude into the league.

--Ryan Kelly just got picked.. Jay Bilas loves him. I'm not surprised, but where is Dick Vitale to tell me about the basketball aspect of this Duke product.

--Some junk during the draft about Dwight Howard; so glad that's over. I hope he drags the Rockets down and doesn't win a title.

--Erik Murphy gets an Entourage spot from Simmons and Bilas. That's rich. Turtle gonna get picked next and even Johnny Drama gets a mention.. that's why you watch the 2nd round of the NBA Draft. Too bad E wasn't in the crowd, Sloan woulda been with him I think.

--Another reason you watch the 2nd round.. Simmons said Doc quit on the Celtics and Doc responds with, "I'd like to call him an idiot, but I'm too classy for that." Bro, you just called him an idiot, we're not stupid. Then adds Simmons doesn't know the truth. Can't wait for Simmons reply coming in 3, 2, 1....

--Rece, Jay, and Jalen speechless and have no clue what to say after that Doc Rivers interview.. They're like wallflowers.

--Some Iranian named Arsalan Kazemi got picked.. and my DVR stopped. I hope that isn't some kinda freaky sign. This draft is over for me.

Guest Opinion on the Packers Roster

With the Packers season now over the reaction to the loss and the drama will begin. While reaction is expected, because of the way the season ended expect over reaction from many Packers fans. What needs to not get lost in this is that the 49ers, who eliminated the Packers, are a better team. I hear about what we didn’t do every time there is a Packer loss versus what the opponent did. Not only were the Niners the favorite and at home, they are a better more healthy team. Does this mean the Packers are not capable of being a Super Bowl team in the future?  Not at all but SOME moves will need to be made!

Let’s start first by reflecting on the year. The Packers won the division, won a playoff game and individually Casey Hayward introduced himself to the NFL, James Jones and Randall Cobb excelled in the absence of others and Aaron Rodgers is really good.

Now for the bad news. As you watch the Packers you see at a lot of little things that make it hard for them to either continue moving the chains or stop the opponent. They are a poor tackling team, especially at corner. Now is this a big deal, it is when teams scheme to get Tramon Williams as a primary run defender. They struggle on the edges of the defense. Not sure how to fix this because really this is a scheme issue not the players. Finally, the ILB play is average at best. Losing two of your top three ILB to injury won’t help this but the Packers have ILB’s that get blocked and are not very physical while also begin below average in coverage.

 

Offensively the people will tell you the Packer offensive line is no good. I disagree. Inside, once Evan Dietrich Smith was inserted at center and the Packers featured healthy guards with him, the Packer run game grew and became affective. The tackles are a different story, though there is some much uncertainty. Bryan Bulaga got hurt, eventually forcing the Packers to find Don Barclay. Barclay played well at times and is definitely part of the picture in the future. At left tackle, Marshall Newhouse is serviceable BUT is a player that might not fit the role as the primary blind slide blocker for Aaron Rodgers. To me the Packers primary issue offensively is the ineffectiveness of the “extra blocker” in the run game. Primarily with the Packers being a one back team, this is a tight end. Their starter Jermichael Finley is inconsistent and a terrible run blocker, so the Packers show there hand and go with Tom Crabtree or others when they want to run the ball. Basically, the Packers have a bunch of specialists at the position and this makes it impossible to get consistency at the position, a position that is critical to the success of the offense. I don’t believe the Packers have to be a team that runs the ball 35 times a game; it doesn’t fit what they do. They have to run the ball effectively and to do this they have to evaluate their personnel and scheme and fit it to the pass game.

So what do we do? With few “key” free agents the Packers have the nucleus to be good for a longtime and remember, they have been. Since 2000 the Packers are 138-74 with a Super Bowl championship in this time frame. The obvious free agent question mark surrounds Greg Jennings. While Jennings has been special, he did suffer from an injury plagued season and will start the 2013 season at the age of 30. Others who the Packers have to decide about would include Brad Jones and Erik Walden.

The Packers have a lot of questions going into the off season but unlike many NFL organizations the Packers, do not lack the stability within the organization at the top or at quarterback. With Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers in place, Packer fans should feel secure in a future that is competitive. The Packers will have to make tough choices on Donald Driver, Charles Woodson, Jermichael Finley, Jeff Saturday, AJ Hawk and others but they have many of the right pieces in place.

I'm Still Here

Don't worry people; I am still alive. I've just been busy with school, life, and so on. Our college fantasy football season is near the end of the road. Here are the match-ups:

Toilet Bowl: #12 Zach vs. #11 P90X

--Who will win the #1 pick? I mean.. the game. Not that it matters, neither team has drafted an impact guy yet. Wes Lunt could have been the guy but then he kept getting hurt and who knows where he'll show up on the depth chart next year. Rumors are that P90X is too busy for the league and might be leaving next year. Only time will tell.

--Are there 2 guys that could pay any less attention to the league? Cherns has been hit or miss for the last 6 years of his life; you won't know what you get from him until he shows up.... or doesn't. When he does show up, great time.. but those times are about as common as Haley's Comet. Josh wakes up at 4 AM to play video games and completely forgets he has a fantasy football team.

#8 Crass vs. #7 Brian

--Both of these teams were in $ contention at one time. Not so much anymore. Crass nearly made a postseason deal with the #2 ranked team, but they never agreed to terms. Will it hurt him in the future? Doubtful, but it helped him in his bowl game!

--Could one of these guys end up in the money? Highly unlikely. They're one game away. One big bowl game away from $.. a tough spot to be in. A down year for Billy and a big year from Joe Dub. Billy dealt QB Colin Klein to Chad after the bowl games started causing another bowl trade deadline meltdown throughout the league.

--Scuba made a late charge while T-Raz couldn't hold on when Geno Smith faltered down the stretch. Who will win this match up for maybe even a shot at #2? Big game tonight needed from Geno Smith and T-Raz could be in $ for 2 years in a row.

#2 Chad vs. #1 GMOTY

--Venom type match-up. Former neighbors, former friends, battling it out for the top spot. This isn't one of those chump buddy buddy hug each other match-ups that we see so often now in sports.. this is like Barry vs. Bret in the squared circle. Carlos Polk and Ka'Deem Carey nearly equaled each other at the RB slot. Trade almost traded for George Wynn to bench Polk (shoulda pulled the trigger and benched Franklin instead). Perrins with another big game from the Rutgers defense while Chad got next to nothing from J. Franklin and Terrence Williams despite a combined game score in the mid-70s. Could the GMOTY really win the award? We shall see.

Week 11 Rankings

Week 11 is in the books and parity reigns in this league. The top 4 teams all have a shot of playing in the BCS Title Bowl! Heck, even the 5th team could somehow sneak in before all is said in done. When you take a look at the jumbled standings at the top it's also easy to overlook the fact that history could be made! P90XJoe in his 2nd season is going for a goal that has never been accomplished before. This goal started when he came into the league last season but was bit on the backside a few times; he accidentally won games. This year? That has not been the case so far, and when you take a look at that roster.. you can certainly see why. P90X is just 2 games away from having the 1st ever winless season. Yes, folks, the perfect Pollock season is within reach. Rumors persist that the Miami Marlins owner is excited about the possibilities of buying the entire college and seeing who will get less fans at their games; the Marlins or P90X College.

#12: P90XJoe His info reads like a bad team on a video game.. 0-11, 992 points scored (lowest in the league) and 1492 points against (highest in the league). Well, if he didn't have bad luck.. he'd have no luck at all. At least when he goes back home he still tells all the g's on the corner.. "Yo, I'm still P90XJoe from the block."

#11: Zach. 3-8 with 4 straight losses.. a few weeks ago he we telling me that he was legit in the hunt for a top 8 finish. At that point he was 3-4, the wheels fell off. He started asking for too much in return for potential trades and now his roster lost a chance to improve late in the season and well.. he has 3 wins. Epic mismanagement. League observers from the outside continue to question Zach's management style late in the season. They're not sure either one of the new guys has what it takes to be competitive. A lot of his fans are just sitting around looking for more entertainment.

#10: Josh. We've already made fun of his age. Everybody makes fun of his NFL team (The Cowboys). What else is there? He had aspirations to start the season, got off to a bad start.. traded Ball/Franklin when Ball was hurt and getting 8 carries a game. Now? They're both tearing up the league for the #1 ranked team.. it looks like another lost season and another achey breaky heart for Josh. (P.S. Just fast forward to the end of the video and watch those moves. Boy was in the zone.)

#9: Cherns. The Mouth from the South is sitting at 5-6 with Kenjon Barner still on his roster, though he said he was going to be dealt about 4 days ago. So, he hasn't done that. He just got put on a watch list for ignoring rankings this week. Does anybody know if he's okay? Is he studying spreadsheets and stats actually trying to put a real roster together or just pretending that he's too busy to care about the league? In fact, he's so busy he probably doesn't have time to read these rankings.. but if he does, I'll just shoot him a quick email or text that simply says, "Thanks, Jake." Right now? He's just a wannabe.

#8: Crass was one on the door for the title game? Now, he's 5-6 with 3 straight losses. It's been a rough year, he could be on top of the leader board had he gone through with an early season trade for Denard Robinson, but he backed out. That's proved costly, despite Denard being out the last 2 weeks, and now Crass is looking to sell his senior RBs flooding the market alongside Barner and dragging all their value down. Toss in the fact he also just got put on rankings watch and we've got ourselves a disappearing act.. dogs are running all over the place because he's been MIA and now people are wondering.. WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

#7: Joe-Dub: 6-5 and gaining steam with 2 straight wins. An extremely scary opponent for anybody ranked above him down the stretch. His team can put up monster numbers very quickly with 3 guys averaging right around 20 ppg, so if they hit their averages and he gets outside contributions he can put fear in opponents making them make outrageous comments like, "Man, this roster is banging."

#6 Scuba: A huge loss to the other mouth in the league. Puts him at 6-5 with an outside chance at sneaking into the top 4 for the 2nd time in the last 2 years. Does he have the horses to pull it off? Is his team mentally strong? A lot this week might depend on how long Tajh Boyd plays vs. a pathetic NC State roster and if Todd Gurley gets enough touches vs. Georgia Southern to put up some points. This kid has no fear and no quit.. after his tough loss he was overheard telling a reporter from the Taylor Co. Star News, "My heart will go on."

#5 Brian: 7-4. 4 Straight wins. Just stop. Highest total was naturally 158 vs. #1 team in the league, then he's somehow won the next 3 with scores of 135, 119, and 107. Seriously. Finishing the year vs. T-Raz and GMOTY, so I guess we'll find out if he's for real. With 1 guy averaging in the 20ppg range I can't see him winning out to end the season, but if he does.. I'll approach him after these remarks with arms wide open.

#4 GMOTY The league's most wanted and most hated. No doubt about it. 7-4 with 3 straight wins. More points than Brian, more bravado. More swagger. More emails and texts sent out than the rest of the league combined defending his trades and idiotic comments. Every family has a clown like this, and I guess every league does too. Favorable match ups across the board for his roster this week, and that could put him into the top 3 for sure unless Billy and Chad have an epic battle for the top spot and swings voters to seeing they're the 2 best teams. Regardless of what happens.. GMOTY of the year is coming at you.. as he told the team in his locker room the other day, "That's right boys, we're coming for 'em.. it looks like we've got ourselves a CONVOY!"

#3 Billy: 7-4 and the most points in the league, but he's sitting at 3rd because the top 2 teams tied and have a slightly better record. Little surprised he hasn't made any big roster moves heading into the showdown of the #1 ranked team in the league. He's sitting content; thinking he might lose and then sell quickly for the bowl game. Anytime you have 2 guys on your roster averaging well over 20 ppg you're scary.. and even more scary when those 2 guys are starting as a QB vs. Baylor (historically awful defensively) and WR vs. UCLA (gave up like 400 yards, 5 TDs passing to Washington State last week). He's got more than a shot to win this week. If he does? Bet there will be dancing in his house this weekend!

#2 T-Raz: 7-3-1. Lucky tie is keeping him afloat, but whatever happened to Geno Smith? His QB and best WR (Smith and Austin) match up  vs. Oklahoma this weekend. That's a tough match up most times and James Sims, his top RB, heads to Iowa State. He could have a big game to keep him afloat. He'll square off against that scary Brian squad this weekend, but he's certainly thinking he'll end up with another victory. T.D has a nice little ring to it.. now if he'd just beat dat beat up.

#1 Chad. 7-3-1. More points than Dowden by a lot.. only trails Billy in that department. Big game against the league's leading scorer who has some major friendly match ups for his roster. Montee Ball faces a stout OSU d, and we saw what happened when that OL and Matt Canada squared off vs. Michigan State. Predictable, boring and no ability to even try the run game.. will it happen again? A defense playing Oregon (uh oh), will Terrence Williams be able to find the end zone? Will Franklin find room to run vs. USC? 6 guys average in that 20 ppg range, but they are not looking like great match ups this week.. finally, will Denard be able to play? If he can, and the others play like their season averages.. well.. then Billy.. you can't touch this.
