Team Review: 6th Place "Minnesota State"

6-8. 108 points per game.

Nobody takes more time looking at their roster or analyzing Notre Dame's to find the next QB than Brian does. He puts a lot of work in, but doesn't get much out of it. It's fitting that the Vikings are his NFL team, he likes the Twins but doesn't have the player development they have. Dayne Crist is going to be around a few years, so he may not draft the next Notre Dame QB until the next draft. In fact, while watching this clip.. Brian gets tears in his eyes.

What Went Right: 2 2-game winning streaks including one to end the season. He went over 140 points 3 times, a solid feat over the season with up and down play from the QB position. He might have had the deepest RB mix in the season with Quizz Rodgers, Trent Richardson, Adam Robinson, Edwin Baker.. Michael Dyer didn't even see the field for him. Juron Criner can also catch the ball with the best of 'em.

What Went Wrong: Dayne Crist/Michael Floyd's injuries (even with a healthy Crist he wouldn't have put up the same numbers.. without a healthy Crist? Uck). BJ Daniels took a step backward this year after a promising freshman campaign. The WR's were up and down behind Criner with nobody stepping up as the for sure number 2.

What the Boosters are saying: "He's invested time and relationships for this league. Brian is a great guy; we haven't had character or law problems... for the most part. We have talent returning, next year is the year."

Hitting 6 wins up in Minnesota? I can just about guarantee that there was a soda celebration in the locker room after the bowl game to celebrate this amazing feat.  What will be in store for next year? You can find that out when I do a pre-draft team preview!
